Teachable Terms of Use

Introduction

Lulu (“Lulu,” “We”) offers interactive courses led by our team of print-on-demand and self-publishing experts to help simplify and clarify the complexities of publishing. By registering for a course on the Lulu course website (“Site,” also referred to as https://lulupublishing.teachable.com/p/lulu-publishing-accelerator), you agree to abide by these terms, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Site and/or any courses offered by Lulu. The materials contained in any course or on the Site are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Use License for Course Materials

All materials provided as part of any course on the Site, including but not limited to; workbooks, webinars, lectures, and tutorials, are copyright Lulu Press, Inc. All courses and associated materials are intended solely for those attending the course. 

Permission is granted to view the materials for personal, non-commercial use as outlined by the course. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title.

Under this license you may not:

• Modify, copy, or otherwise distribute the materials;
• Display the materials publicly or for any commercial purpose;
• Remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials; or
• Transfer the materials to another person or ‘mirror’ the materials on any other server.

This license shall automatically end if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by Lulu at any time. Upon terminating your viewing of these materials or upon the termination of this license, you must destroy any downloaded materials in your possession, whether in electronic or printed format.

Refund And Cancelation Policy

Students can request a full refund until the end of the first week of the course they’ve enrolled in. Once the refund has been granted, all access to the course will be closed.

Canceling prior to the start of the course will result in a full refund at Lulu’s sole discretion. All provided course materials already received as part of the course are still copyright Lulu Press, Inc. and cannot be resold or otherwise used in any commercial or non-commercial manner.

Requests to cancel after a course begins are only honored at Lulu’s sole discretion, on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to decline requests for cancellation once the course has begun and are under no obligation to return any fees associated with the course due to inability to attend, technical difficulties on your or our part, or dissatisfaction. 

If, in our sole discretion, we honor a request to cancel after you’ve received access to course materials, that access is considered immediately revoked. 

Disclaimer

The materials on the Site are provided 'as is'. Lulu makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties, including without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights. Further, Lulu does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the materials on the Site or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to this Site.

Limitations

In no event shall Lulu be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on the Site, even if Lulu has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

Revisions and Errata

The materials appearing on the Site may include technical, typographical, or photographic errors. Lulu does not warrant that any of the materials on the Site are accurate, complete, or current. Lulu may make changes to the materials contained on the Site at any time without notice. Lulu does not, however, make any commitment to update the materials.

Lulu has not reviewed all the sites linked to the Site or included in course materials and is not responsible for the contents of any such linked site. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by Lulu of the site and is meant only to supplement provided course materials. Use of any such linked website is at your own risk.

Modifications to the Terms

Lulu may, in our sole discretion, revise these Terms of Use at any time without notice. By using the Site you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these Terms of Use.

Privacy

Your engagement in courses offered on this Site is subject to Lulu’s Privacy Policy, which is available at https://www.lulu.com/privacy-policy. 

Governing Law

Any claim relating to the Site or Lulu shall be governed by the laws of the School Owner’s home jurisdiction without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Jurisdictional Issues

The Site is controlled and operated by Lulu in the United States of America, and is not intended to subject Lulu to the laws or jurisdiction of any state, country, or territory other than that of the United States of America. Lulu does not represent or warrant that the Site or any part thereof is appropriate or available for use in any particular jurisdiction. Those who choose to access the Site do so on their own initiative and at their own risk and are responsible for complying with all local laws, rules, and regulations. We may limit the Site's availability, in whole or in part, to any person, geographic area, or jurisdiction we choose, at any time and at our sole discretion.

Lulu makes no representation that material on the Site is appropriate to or available at locations outside of the United States. You may not use the Site or export any course materials in violation of United States export regulations. If you access this Site from a location outside of the United States, you are responsible for compliance with all applicable local laws and payment of any local taxes that may be payable in connection with any purchase from the Site.
